Hi, I’m Steph!

I’m a musician, writer, and counseling student working in the intersections of creativity and healing.

After growing up around and spending the first chapter of my career up and down the California coast working for music nonprofits and learning the business of music, all paths led to a Master’s in Clinical Counseling, where I’m building a counseling practice that will interweave creativity into healing, for career creators and all creative humans (so, everyone!).

Now with roots in North County San Diego and San Francisco, I’m splitting my time between my studies, writing and creating projects around creativity, embodiment, and mental health housed in my freelance creative studio, Unpaved Roads, and my musical practice as folk singer-songwriter Lucky Lamond. I’m also honored to be serving as the 2025 Neal Casal Clinical Fellow for the Backline organization.

The Unpaved Roads Substack

I’m currently creating a newsletter on Substack, where I’m exploring the healing power of storytelling, expression, and the modern sacred as I continue my studies, my work in music, and my own art.

Listen to Lucky Lamond

My music as Lucky Lamond weaves elements of traditional Folk, Americana, and classic foot-stomping, clap-along storytelling to celebrate my identities and the human experience. I believe that by telling the stories that make us who we are, we free those coming after to be all they can be.
