Hi, I’m Steph!
I’m a musician, writer, and counselor-in-training.
After growing up and spending the first chapter of my career up and down the California coast, immersed in the music industry and developing my creative work, I began to recognize that the thread connecting it all was a deep curiosity about the human experience. I found myself drawn both to shaping that experience into story and song, and to walking alongside others as they move through life’s liminal spaces of change, loss, and becoming.
Now - I work primarily in San Diego, with ongoing creative and collaborative ties to San Francisco. I complete my Master’s in Clinical Counseling in May 2026, during which I’ve served with Hospice of the North Coast’s Hope Bereavement Center, developing my passion for end-of-life spaces and whole-person care through clinical and ritual work. My practice is informed by existential, narrative, creative, somatic, and mindfulness-based approaches, with a particular orientation toward grief, identity, and life transitions.
Across my work, I’m interested in creating spaces where people can feel, connect, and make meaning of life’s journey. I create story-driven folk music as Lucky Lamond, rooted in Irish storytelling and grief traditions, and contribute to Backline’s work building a mentally healthier music industry. I also co-founded the Women of NAMM podcast ReVoicing the Future.
My writing (and the occasional musical demo or piano improv!) lives on Substack, where I explore creativity, meaning-making, and the natural patterns that shape how we move through the world.
